The meditative properties of beadwork are what attracted me. I was absorbed with needlework following a traumatic incident in my life, and the repetitious motions of stitching were the one thing I found soothing. However, I wanted to employ my creative talents. I tried designing my own cross-stitch and embroidery patterns, but wasn't satisfied with the results and didn't see myself doing that for a living.

I had been interested in jewelry arts on and off through my life, but until 1997 was largely unaware of the wide variety of quality jewelry components available to the average consumer. At first I disdained the use of seed beads, especially as accents in needlework. I didn't think I could achieve the subtle effects and shadings I desired. But with the wide range of colors and finishes available from both Japan and the Czech Republic, I have a sparkling palette at my disposal. The smaller scale of most of my wearable beadwork pieces is also appealing to me, I like the challenge of packing in as much detail and interest as possible.

I hope you enjoy perusing my pages. I am currently looking for gallery representation, if you have any leads to offer me in that direction, please email me. Thank you for your interest, and blessed be!
